Is my new briar pipe filtered?
I bought a briar pipe online and it didn't say wether it was filtered or not on the site. I started smoking a pipe a few months ago with a corncob and it wasn't filtered. When i suck in on this new pipe it feels so rough and theres so much resistance. Whats the deal? I haven't smoked it yet but i'm pretty sure i won't like it i want it to be smooth and have no resistance.

- Remove the stem from the pipe, if the pipe has a filter, it will be there. That is the best way to find out. The pipe itself may have some resistance on the draw due to a number of things. The draft hole may be blocked by a bit of briar, just clean it out with a pipe cleaner or pipe tool. The hole may not be drilled properly and therefore causing drawing problems. Your pipe should not whistle when drawing on it either.
